Midjourney is a tool that uses artificial intelligence to create images from text descriptions, otherwise known as "prompts."

NIGHTMARE SYSTEM showcases a selection of works generated between August and October 2022, during the brief, ephemeral era of Midjourney V3.

At the time, the technology was still in its adolescence — dreamlike, volatile, and beautifully flawed.

The V3 Archives serves as both a visual record and a reflection on a unique, now-obsolete chapter in AI art history, consciously steered by human deliberation.

This exhibition is a collaboration between human imagination and machine logic.
